Saturday, March 5, 2022 13:00-18:00

Two years have past since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. During this period, the SDH (Social Determinants of Health) related issues have gotten more and more serious. Health services are expected to provide evermore support to those who are socially marginalized despite all the difficulties they have. In this Spring Seminar, we are planning a lecture focusing on the situation of foreigners who are experiencing difficulties especially with human rights issues and access to healthcare services. The invited lecturer is SAWADA Takashi (Minatomachi Clinic of Kanagawa Prefecture Workers Health Co-operative, Nongovernment Organization SHARE=Services for the Health in Asian & African Regions), who has been active in leading efforts to provide healthcare for foreigners. From the aspect of SDGs, he will talk about his own experience of providing healthcare for foreigners living in Japan along with some systematic problems he encountered.
